Authorities have confirmed that both cases remain under active review as detectives work to determine the full circumstances surrounding each event.
In the first incident, officers were dispatched to the area near 46th Avenue and National Western Drive following reports of a possible medical or emergency situation. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive individual. Emergency protocols were immediately initiated, and the scene was secured to allow investigators and the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner to conduct a thorough examination.

Police confirmed that the case is currently being treated as a death investigation. At this stage, officials have not released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of family members. A second incident, also confirmed by Denver Police, involved an officer-involved shooting during a domestic violence call. According to preliminary information released by authorities, officers responded to a reported disturbance and encountered a suspect who became physically engaged with law enforcement during the interaction. During the altercation, an officer discharged a firearm, striking the suspect.
The injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment but later died from their injuries. Police confirmed that no officers were harmed during the incident.
As is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings, the case is being reviewed through independent investigative channels, including oversight by the District Attorney’s Office. Officials emphasized that this process is designed to ensure transparency and a thorough examination of the circumstances surrounding the use of force.
